In 2018, we had our first retreat focusing on discussions of antibiotic resistance and involving hikes in Gush Chalav and Namer Valley in Northern Israel. The retreat included scientific talks interspersed with hikes.
We also invited Dr. Mathew Stracy from Oxford University who shares love for science and hiking. Mathew works on microbial physiology and response to antibiotics and contributed a lot to the scientific discussions. In 2019, Mathew joined our lab as a Postdoctoral fellow.
